This is a great site! You could definitely get lost here. I think it would be great for picture prompts for creative writing. I don’t have time right now to upload a photo but I it’s on my list! (Oh, that list is getting longer and longer.)

I’m a school library media specialist who is teaching in the best school in the area (okay, I’m a bit biased).  I teach students in grades K-6 – we read, learn literacy and computer skills, and conduct research.  Most important to me is to build a love of reading and an excitement about books.  Students today gravitate toward computers so I like to stay on top of new technologies and find ways to integrate them into the classroom.  When I can combine reading and computers, it’s magic.

Of all the web 2.0 tools, I am probably most familiar with blogs – I’ve set up a few (and abandoned them), used them in some classes I’ve taught and been caught up reading them.   When they’re well written, I can spend hours (literally) following the posts – they’re like a book of short stories to me.  I’ve never been able to sustain my own for different reasons – whether it is lack of time or lack of ideas – I have yet to complete more than a few posts.  I will be curious to see how others feel about blogging!  But even if I am not the one posting after the course ends, I will definitely be one of the readers.
